Performance Entry-level i30 Fastback models are typically fitted with a 1.0-litre 120bhp petrol engine, which happens to be the most efficient option available for this car. This returns as much as 54.3mpg, and produces CO2 emissions as low as 120g/km. Optimal performance levels are provided by Premium-grade variants, which are installed with a 1.4-litre 140bhp petrol unit. This produces 242Nm of torque and 0-60mph in approximately nine seconds, while managing up to 49.6mpg and a 134g/km emission figure.
Models and specification There are three trim levels to choose from when you select the Hyundai i30 Fastback; the SE Nav, the Premium or the Premium SE models. Each is fitted with air conditioning, LED daytime running lights, power outlets, a speed limiter, cruise control and Bluetooth. SE Nav gives you rear parking sensors and reverse view camera with a touchscreen for satellite navigation and with a wireless charging point. Moving to the Premium you will see it gains climate control and heated seats while the Premium SE sees the addition of the Panoramic Sunroof.
