New Hyundai i30 Fastback The original Hyundai i30 made its debut back in 2007, and in doing so it changed perceptions of the family hatch and estate. With the launch of the third generation Hyundai have introduced the hardcore i30N and now the stylish and sophisticated Fastback range. Design The debonair i30 Fastback boasts a stylish coupé design and comes with a fine selection of eye-catching fixtures as standard. Further exterior illumination includes super-bright LED headlights and front fog lamps that boost visibility whenever mist descends. technology & innovation An eight-inch touchscreen is included, providing access to an array of infotainment features, such as satellite navigation, a six-speaker sound system and Bluetooth connectivity. You can mirror your smartphone via this display too, thanks to the inclusion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other standard features include voice recognition technology and wireless charging for your phone. Performance Entry-level i30 Fastback models are typically fitted with a 1.0-litre 120bhp petrol engine, which happens to be the most efficient option available for this car. This returns as much as 54.3mpg, and produces CO2 emissions as low as 120g/km. Optimal performance levels are provided by Premium-grade variants, which are installed with a 1.4-litre 140bhp petrol unit. This produces 242Nm of torque and 0-60mph in approximately nine seconds, while managing up to 49.6mpg and a 134g/km emission figure.
Models and specification There are six trim levels to choose from when you select the Hyundai i30, the S, SE, SE Nav, Go! SE, Premium or Premium SE. The entry-level trims, come with air conditioning, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights, power outlets, a speed limiter, cruise control and Bluetooth. Step up to the SE to get rear parking sensors and a touchscreen; the SE Nav for satellite navigation and a wireless charging point; and the Premium for climate control and heated seats. Choose from a range of stylishly muted or rich paint colours.
